Brighouse is situated just off the M62 on junction 25. The town is extremely well placed with links to other large towns such as Halifax and Huddersfield. Manchester and Leeds are just 30 minutes and 15 minutes away respectively. The town has developed well and last year it was announced that house prices raised more than any other place in the country.
The town center is home to over 170 business with many high street shops including, Boots, Superdrug and Wilkinsons. It also includes several traditional shops selling anything from special cheeses to pet supplies.

Owners of the Casa Hotel have lodged an appeal to the Secretary of State over the refusal of planning permission for its extension and the enforcement notice issued by Calderdale Council to remove it. The appeal will be determined on the basis of an inquiry.
